Would citric acid remove nail polish?

Try it.

The easiest source of citric acid is lemon juice.

The usual solvent for nail varnish is acetone. This is the chemical with that lovely smell in nail polish remover. The point of using varnish is that watery things do not dissolve it.Would citric acid remove nail polish?
I'm not sure - but I don't recommend it, because it would sting a lot (the skin there is rather sensitive).
