To the sisters out ther, was wondering when you are on your ';ha'idh'; ya3ni period is it permissible to wear nail polish? I Know when your praying you are not, i went on Islam Q an A yet to no avail. Reason asking as i wore it once and a sister in the masjid told me if you die when your in that state something thng, i cant remember. If you know please guide me! Wa Jazakh'Allah :)

Yeah you can wear it on ur period, i do! But when you die and ur body gets washed, they perform ghusl so they take the nail polish off for you i guess. I think i wore brown nail varnish last time.

Well if you are wearing nail polish (permissible) because you are menstruating then your not permitted to enter a Mosque because you are in a state of impurity not because you are wearing nail varnish. Even if you did not have the nail varnish on you are still not allowed to enter a Mosque in your period. Neither of these things allows you to perform Wudu correctly, even if no period and just wearing nail polish as your nail does not get touched with water when performing Wudu. Walikum Saalam
Islam is not a hyper ritualistic ';you missed a spot'; kind of religion, here is what God tells us in His own words;

If your Wudu is valid while wearing leather socks, I am sure it's valid with nail polish on :) common sense.

It's fine when you have it on while not praying, however, you have to remove it every time you go to pray.

But that is true you can wear it on your period.
i think. because you are allowed to miss prayers in that situation. You can wear nail polish.
since you can't make wudu when on your period, then you can wear nailpolish.

Yes. If you're not praying you're allowed to have it on.
OMG men and their manmade stupid rules for religion...God does not care whether you wear nail polish but rather that you are a good human being...make sense?
