that way it matches perfectly, but its not too intense of a color, so it still looks really nice and formal

yep! ive tried it! and it works but i couldnt take not biting my nails so i just took it off! Believe me i tried everything and the only thing that worked for me is just self disiplan. don't add anything to it! mixing chemicals is dangerous. u have to have pure acetone to remove acrylic nails. go to the hardware store or local discount store in hardware section and buy it in the can. the polish remover that is acetone has buffers in it. that's why it isn't working. be safe and do it right.Is there anything i can add to my nail polish remover to make it more so i can take my acrylics off?

Forget soaking. If you want acrylic nails to come off, just clean your bathroom. Use hot water, bleach and water mix, cleanser, any of the soap scum cleaners. By the time your tub is clean, your nails will peel off.

Forget soaking. If you want acrylic nails to come off, just clean your bathroom. Use hot water, bleach and water mix, cleanser, any of the soap scum cleaners. By the time your tub is clean, your nails will peel off.

omg! Sorry, but i wouldn't recommend using NYC polish. First of all, it is tested on animals! I used to always buy it, but when I heard that, I stopped. Now I use Sinful Colors. It is not really cheap, you don't need like 20 coats, as you do with NYC, and more importantly it is not tested on animals! :)

i just painted my nails and the nail polish keeps starting to peel. i painted it in a french manicure sort of way and i put on this top coat [its called sally hansen mega shine extended wear top coat] and around the egdes it starts to peel so i apply a new coat to keep it from peeling. how do i make the nail polish stay and not start peeling?Keep nail polish from peeling?

I agree, you have to use a strong top coat. But you also have to be careful, i.e. when you clean or do dishes, make sure that you wear rubber gloves. Plus try not to do laundry on the night that you do your manicure, otherwise your nail polish will tend to chip.
Apply 2-3 thin layers of nail polish, then apply 1 layer of clear top coat to seal it in. For best results, apply a thin, clear top coat everyday. Also, use a base coat for a nice canvas.
Clear nail polish will help and you may want to put a coat on every day to freshen up the shine thats what I do and it works better for me. Hope this helps.....

As long as you're overweight, jeans and a tee will fly. We're not picky about what men wear because we know most have no idea when it comes to fashion and we forgive them for it. So ditch the makeup and the polish and never think about it again.

last night i put fake nails on for halloween and got some nail glue on my face i used nail polish remover which it said on the internet to get it off with but then my face kind of swelled a bit, Today its gone but i got like a nasty scratch is it ok? Dark hair, dark eyes and olive skin. You can wear anything you want and look good. I would suggest that you shy away from neon colors.

For this winter dark colors are in and most would macth your skin tone. Try purples, burgundy, metalic grey- granite, chocolate brown-better be spaklin'. Gold is in as well, but it may make your hands look pale. And don't forget natural baby pink or so- never beige- is always good and chic for all skin tones.
Always go for pink. You need to get a really light, high-quality pink that is light enough to just tint your nails while making them shiny. I personally LOVE the Jordana nail polish. you dont have pale skin, so dont go with pale colors. try dark purples and reds, and maybe even some browish colors. they will look great with your skin tone!

It does not mean your gay, or sending the wrong message, it's all in how people react and how much you care or don't care what other people think.. Explore, experiment, it takes guts and who is getting hurt.

A sour-tasting material (usually in a solution) that dissolves metals and other materials. Technically, a material that produces positive ions in solution. An acid is the opposite of a base and has a pH of 0 to 7. A given amount of an acid added to the same amount of a base neutralizes the base, producing water and a salt. Common vinegar, for example, is a weak solution of acetic acid.
Note: Figuratively, acid applies to anything sour or biting; for example, an “acid wit” is sharp and unpleasant.

No, it mostly contains acetates and betyl alcohol. Some inexpensive nail polishes can contain toxic chemicals, so that's why I try to stick with O.P.I. polish.

Let them breath at least one month, and rub them with Lemon, they`ll be pink, and for your cuticles dip your fingers in olive oil, it will give you an unbelievable natural shine, even more beautiful and feminine than a nail polish, and save the nail polish for the occasion, but seriously your nails need to breathe, to be nurtured, and to drink water, just like us.

Sally Hansen has good ones. The base is to protect your nails from discoloration caused by a nails over exposure to the sun (its what i heard). but for the future, one coat of base, two coats of polish, and then one coat of top coat.
I would use a base, that will eliminate most color.
But if you want to get the tone off, soak in one of these.
1.) lemon juice
2.) lime juice
3.) acetone
4.) rubbing alcohol
5.) polish remover

I just bought a black cocktail dress... what nail & toe polish should I wear? What about jewelry?
The dress is above knee length. My shoes are black sling backs with peep toe. I'm 23 years old. Once upon a time I was very fashion forward. That depends on your personality:

As far as color, a nice red that complements your skin tone is always nice - especially around the holidays.
For me, I would go with short fingernails in a deep, dark red and a matching pedi (think lauren/audrina on the hills).

Those will ensure that your nail polish lasts longer. If you have a higher budget, OPI is a really good brand. It doesn't chip easily and has really great colours. If you're looking for something more economical, try Sally Hansen or Revlon. No just because you wear black nail polish that doesnt make u a goth. Goth r people that has lots of piercings , always wear black and purple and look like thier tough.
