Depending on the chemicals in the nailpolish and the quality; the heat can separate the oil's from the color and the chemilcals so it won't mix together again and it get's all weird. Sometimes you can still try to use it but it looks all funky when you do.Could leaving a bottle of nail polish in a hot car for about 4 hours ruin it?

Some of the epoxides could polymerize I suppose. I don't really know though.
